A system design interview in progress for a senior Backend Engineer role, question 2 of 5: an animated interviewer beside the candidate's camera tile, turned off, the question about an idempotent payments API, and the answer being typed.

Career · Web app · EN / FR · 2026

Practise the interview before the real one: pick the job, answer each question out loud as the interviewer asks it, and get a report with a score, a hiring verdict and what a strong answer sounds like. In English and French.

The problem

[01]

Most interview prep is a list of generic questions you read in your head. You never say the answers out loud, nobody tells you how they landed, and the questions have little to do with the job you applied for.

What I built

[02]

Ready runs a real mock interview. Claude writes the questions for the exact role, level and job offer, an interviewer reads them aloud one at a time, and you answer by voice or in writing, with no skipping and no going back. At the end every answer is scored, with feedback and a strong answer to learn from. Free to use: five interviews a month, unlimited on request.

Key decisions

[03]
  1. Rules enforced by the API

One question at a time, no skipping and no going back: the server only reveals the current question and rejects anything else, so the rules hold even outside the interface.

  2. Quotas that can't be gamed

Each interview started is logged separately from the interview itself, so deleting interviews never resets the monthly limit.

  3. AI cost on every interview

Tokens and cost are recorded for each generation and evaluation, so the admin console shows exactly what Claude costs per user and per month.

The result

  • 5Interview types, from technical to system design
  • 2Languages, with native voices
  • 5Free interviews every month

Features

What it does

I build AI products people use on their own, under a little pressure: structured generation with Claude, speech in the browser, and feedback precise enough to act on.

[01]

Written for your role

Claude writes a fresh interview for the role, the seniority, the interview type and the company, and follows the job offer if you paste it. It avoids the questions you practised recently.

[02]

An interviewer that talks

Each question is read aloud by a natural voice, with an animated interviewer that lip-syncs and nods while you dictate, next to your own camera preview.

[03]

Like the real thing

One question at a time, in order, with a timer. No skipping and no going back, enforced by the API rather than by the interface.

[04]

A report you can act on

An overall score and hiring verdict, what went well, what to work on, and for every question your answer, precise feedback and a strong answer, each one readable aloud.

[05]

English and French

Questions, voices, dictation, feedback, emails and the whole interface in the language of the interview.

[06]

Free, unlimited on request

Five interviews a month for everyone. Users can ask for unlimited access from the app, and an admin approves it from a console that also tracks usage and AI cost.
